In my corner of the world (Seattle), we’re in that in between phase of seasons. Our days are a little longer and the birds are more active. A walk through my neighborhood reveals crocuses, daffodils and camellias in bloom. So I have replaced the poinsettia with tulips as the featured plant in my house.
But winter isn’t over. A trip to the nearby mountains offers plenty of opportunities to play in the snow. I’m still skiing weekly and grateful that there’s fresh snowfall in the Cascades.
This in between period of winter and spring is like having the best of both seasons. I can spend my morning savoring the signs of spring in town then change it up in the afternoon with some skiing in the mountains. Life is good!
